To start off with, what a jam, trained well n there was just a general good feel about it. The sun was shining and the skies were blue… and it was WARM wheeeeey.
Anyways started out at the art gallery, didn’t really do much, showed Jamie my side flip improvements n that was about it tried McGuire’s crazy dicing cat pass came short and the momentum I was carrying almost took me onto my face.. Luckily it didn’t. Had a nice walk down the scaffolding at the swimming baths by this time I had fully woken up, me n Jamie drilled some under bar combo things n I did a perfect two handed corner muscle up with ease… I don’t get it. Unfortunately some security dude on a crutch came to move us on. But it was ok cos we went across the bridge to the cool ‘across the bridge form the swimming baths’ spot n that’s when the amazingness started. As we were heading in a noticed an arm jump we hadn’t seen before, first one being quite I big height difference and no run up did it after a few attempts was probably about 8 foot so normally not practically challenging but the one step run up and height difference made it quite something. Then the same distance but to a lower wall from standing, first me and Jamie did it from the same take off point as the one step run up one, but slowly moved down some steps increasing the height distance was quite proud of it. Then I did a precision from a bollard onto the wall, the precision itself wasn’t really anything spectacular but I was impressed with the softness of my landing, helped by the fact it was about half a foot higher to the wall I was jumping too. Tried to do it back the other way but sticking it just wasn’t happening for me :’( ah well.
But its ok cos lately I did a 13 foot running arm jump, wasn’t jumping anything though just off the floor. Also got soooo close to doing a level 13 footer… baring in mind the only one is ever done before are about 9-10 :-D. after that we headed up to the uni, via a new route making hollie very disorientated went past the building my bro got his appendix out took a few seconds for me to recognise it but after I did I could point out the exact window he was in, and that was 3 years ago… anyway we got to the rocks in the uni n did some tricking oh noes! Managed to tidy up walk out front flip... That’s about it. Then went to the uni shop n got this gooooooooooorgeous duck and noodle salad… t’was like mmmmmmm-mmmmmmm… then we went to dash wall n didn’t really do much… more tricking really did some pretty good standing gainers.. one of which I over rotated slightly and ended up bouncing perfectly into a sitting down position, looked pretty cool really lol.
After I went to meet Liam’s cousin, easier said then done, and managed to loose Liam in the process went back to the uni to meet the others n did a running precision I was quite proud of, was 13 foot with a step up… meh I was pleased with it. Then we went up to the scaffold got my laches up to scratch but my muscle ups have really suffered, which was odd cos I did some good ones that morning… Scott quickly showed me it was easier to muscle up after doing a lache so I did that. I and Jamie then tried to do two laches straight after the other Jamie got the technique quite quickly but I was still struggling and never got it.
We then decided to head down to the playhouse and on the way did a 10 foot running jump with a height difference upwards of about half a foot – a foot… not hard but took a few line ups to get the confidence for some reason. Then went to the playhouse and did the big standing arm jump none of us had even looked at before Owen came to Leeds and did it, I did it of the rail though so it was a few inches higher, stuck it well the first time but abit low so my toe still hurts abit now, then sat down with Helena n listen to Stephen Lynch, what a legend. Then went home to a nice curry:-D
